The Dangers of Chewing Tobacco
The story goes like this: A 99 yr old man was sitting on his porch in his rocker chewing tobacco. He would rock and spit, as chewers do. He would rock back and forth and on the forward motion he would spit. I am not sure how to express spit as politically correct!
However, on one of his forward motions he rocked to far, the chair fell over on him and he died. I believe there could be a hidden message in this. Some would say it was the tobacco's fault. Then some would say it was his age that caused him to lose his balance. Some might even blame the poor old rocking chair. Whatever the reason, if you lean to far to spit your tobacco, it could cause your demise. This is a true story as the 99 yr. old gentleman is part of the family. I didn't say whether it was mine or my wife's did I?
What do you think was the cause of his death?
It wouldn't hurt to note I Cor. 3:16-17; 6:19

Bro. Ken good to see you posting again ! It raises a lot of thoughts and the scriptures are GODS words ! We all know that GOD is not going to call us home untill our job is done on earth ! The gentleman mentioned lived to be a ripe old age much above the average life span !I must admit that I would haved liked to have been on that porch enjoying a good chew with him and hearing the storys of his life because I do that same thing every evening when it cools down ! That is when I talk to GOD everyday and thank HIM for his beautiful creation and enjoying the light [as he describes in 1 John] and the blessings HE has given me ! My thoughts on your post is that this is one of the sins that run parallel with indulging to much when we sit down to the dinner table. Dear LORD I Pray For Your Forgiveness ? Blessings to you and post a little more for I enjoy reading them ? RON.
His survivors should have sued the manufacturer of that chair. Could have been some big bucks in it for 'em.
Good thought, Gordon! Wonder what the statute of limitations is on a case like that?
