THE EXALTATION OF TRUTH!
In Psalms 138:2 we find that the Lord has "magnified his word above all his name." Many think that we sometimes make to much of God's Word. However, according to this scripture, God has placed and enlarged his word above the name "Jehovah, Jah, Elohym, Jesus Christ, Lord, and all of his names. Why? If God's Word is no good, then his name is no good. Your name is only as good as the accuracy and the keeping of your word. If you break your word, then your name is no longer respected. Thus, the Lord is assuring us of the authority, accuracy, authenticy, and the absolutes of his Words. He promised his pure words, Psalms 12:6., are preserved for all generations. Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the WORD OF GOD!
This is the foundation of all that we believe about the Lord. I believe in God, not by dreams, experiences, revelations, or visions, but by his wonderful Words! GOD SAID IT AND THAT SETTLES IT WHETHER YOU WANT TO BELIEVE IT OR NOT!

This is good.
A-men. Brother.
That is a very meaningful verse in the Psalms.
Gordon had a post not long ago asking what is your one thing.
Everyone was saying God and Jesus and I thought myself strange for saying my one thing is my bible.
Without it I wouldn't know Jesus.
Without it I couldn't hear from Him.
My one thing is His Word!
Gordon followed up my comment with a great demonstration I thought.
"Michael, I am not sure that you have to make that distinction. I am not saying that the Bible is equal to God, but it is certainly through the Word that God reveals Himself. So in hungering for the Scripture, might that actually be a hunger for God?
I know that when I eat dinner, while I appreciate the plate, my attention is on the food!"
Now your stating that God enlarges His Word. This is just great! His Word is still my one thing!

Since the Bible never contradicts itself and can never be shown to ba false this shows us that God's word is true. I once heard a quote "A man can be anything he says, so long as his word is iron."
The Word also became flesh which is an even more vivd demonstration of how the Word reveals God.
As a side I once saw a bumper sticker with a Christian version of the Big Bang Theory.
The Big Bang:
God said it.
BANG! It happened.
By His words He created the Universe.

Wow, what a wonderful post...truly..with all thats going on around...people find no answers because they don't know where the answer lies...IT IS WRITTEN...even Jesus said so, when satan tempted Him..
